I'm a developer with 8+ years of systems administration experience and a strong interest in security, game systems, and open source AI. My interest in game networking and music led me to build mods, including LLM-powered NPCs for the Minecraft server I ran. Along the way, I contributed to KoboldAI and SillyTavern, ran a top-10 compute node on the AI Horde, and helped train a dialogue model with PygmalionAI. More recently, I've been working in Java to finish an instrument mod for Minecraft, and learning to fine-tune newer open models with LoRAs. A selection of my projects is below.
Featured Projects
KoboldAI
Open Source Contributor · 2023–2024
Contributor to KoboldAI, an open source, browser-based front end for AI-assisted writing and storytelling that runs a wide range of local and remote language models. I also worked with db0 and others on their distributed computing system, the AI Horde, which KoboldAI plugs into. Volunteers donate spare compute to run models for others, and I ran my homelab as one of its workers. Workers earn "Kudos" for completed jobs (purely for leaderboard bragging rights), and my setup quickly climbed into the top 10 compute nodes.

Schedules are managed from a simple Google Sheet, so non-technical staff can update them. It supports multiple schools from one deployment, kiosk mode, an embeddable widget, and offline caching.
Systems Tool · C++
Signal Parser
A C++ program that parses large log files of sample signal data and pulls the relevant signal information into a structured result.

Python Worm
A university security course project for studying how malware spreads. In an isolated lab of virtual machines, it scans a credential list and propagates between hosts. The point was to understand the attacker's side and come away with better defensive practices.
